Tinubu approves new management members for Customs

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of three Deputy Comptroller Generals (DCGs) and three Assistant Comptroller Generals (ACGs) within the Nigeria Customs.

According to Abdullahi Maiwada, the spokesperson for Nigeria Customs, these appointments were made subsequent to the appointment of Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR as the Acting Comptroller General of Customs on 19 June 2023 and the retirement of certain management members in the Service.

The three Deputy Comptroller Generals appointed are F.O. Okun, M.B.A Musa, and A. Hamisu.

Additionally, the Assistant Comptroller Generals appointed are K. Olumoh, A.B Mohammed, and A. Alajogun.

Meanwhile, the Acting Comptroller General of Customs, Adeniyi, has conveyed his congratulations to the newly appointed Officers and urged them to intensify their efforts in achieving greater heights for the Service.

This includes fulfilling its mandates of generating revenue, combating smuggling, and facilitating trade.
