President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Accra, Ghana, to attend the inauguration of President-elect John Mahama on January 7, 2025.

Tinubu landed at Kotoka International Airport, where he was welcomed by Julius Debra, the chief of staff to Ghana’s president.

Mahama, who previously served as Ghana’s 12th president from 2011 to 2017, was re-elected in December 2024. He will succeed President Nana Akufo-Addo, whose term ends in 2025.

As Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, Tinubu will join other African leaders at the swearing-in ceremony.
