President Bola Tinubu has welcomed the news of successful military operations against security threats in the North-West region.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, it was noted that these successes reaffirm the capability of Nigeria’s security forces to maintain peace and protect the nation.

Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji recently neutralized notorious bandit leader Halilu Sububu, who had been terrorizing citizens in Zamfara, Sokoto, and other areas of the North-West.

Additionally, another terrorist, Sani Wala Burki, was eliminated during a joint operation in Katsina, while a terrorist hideout was dismantled in Kaduna, leading to the rescue of 13 kidnapped students.

These operations are part of the President’s directive for service chiefs to remain in the region until stability is fully restored.

“President Tinubu commends the military high command, the intelligence agencies, and the troops for their valiant efforts, synergy, and dedication, which have resulted in the recent laudable outcomes.

“The President also commends the entire security apparatus for the improved security in the nation and enjoins them to sustain their efforts until immediate and latent threats are permanently removed,” the statement read in part.

President Bola Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the nation’s security agencies in their mission to maintain safety and security across the country. He emphasized that ensuring the protection of all citizens remains a top priority for his administration.
