President Bola Tinubu has left Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, to attend the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in the United Arab Emirates.

The president departed at 6:30 pm on Saturday for the summit, which is scheduled to take place from January 12 to 18.

Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga stated that Tinubu’s visit comes at the invitation of UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

“The Summit will convene global leaders to accelerate sustainable development and drive socioeconomic progress,” Onanuga noted.

Under the theme ‘The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress’, the event will enable policymakers, business executives, and civil society leaders to explore strategies for transitioning to a sustainable economy and fostering a new era of shared prosperity.

The annual Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, held for over 15 years, serves as a global platform for fostering collaboration to tackle global challenges and accelerate sustainable growth.
