Tinubu hails Ijeoma Uchegbu on election as Cambridge university college president

President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to Ijeoma Uchegbu, a Nigerian-born Professor of Pharmaceutical Nanoscience and accomplished researcher, on her election as President of Wolfson College, one of the 31 colleges at the University of Cambridge.

Professor Uchegbu, well-known for her groundbreaking contributions to nanoparticle drug delivery, currently holds the position of Professor of Pharmaceutical Nanoscience at University College London (UCL).

The President, according to a statement on Sunday by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, celebrated “the outstanding accomplishment and commends Professor Uchegbu for being an excellent ambassador for the country and for her relentless efforts to advance the frontiers of pharmaceutical science.”

He applauded Professor Uchegbu as “epitomizing the ingenuity, brilliance, and hard work that are consistently synonymous with the great Nigerian people both at home and abroad.”

As Professor Ijeoma Uchegbu assumes this crucial position, President Tinubu extends his best wishes for continued success. He reassures Nigerians in the Diaspora that his administration is steadfast in establishing an effective interface mechanism, fostering ideas, promoting investment opportunities, and enhancing bonds, aligning with his ‘4D Foreign Policy.’
