Tinubu heads to Berlin for G20 Compact with Africa conference

President Bola Tinubu has left Nigeria for Berlin, Germany, to participate in the G20 Compact with Africa (CwA) Conference.

He departed Abuja a few minutes past 7 pm (Nigerian time) and was bid farewell by several high-ranking government officials, with Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Senator George Akume leading the delegation.

President Tinubu will be joining fellow Heads of State and Governments from CwA member countries, bilateral partners, and Heads of International organizations to discuss immediate measures for enhancing economic and business cooperation. The focus will be on outlining concrete steps to stimulate investments in critical sectors such as energy, trade, infrastructure, and new technologies.

The G20 CwA Conference will coincide with the Fourth G20 Investment Summit, co-hosted by the German government and German business associations.

Accompanying the President on this trip are the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar; the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun; the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite; and the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.

President Tinubu will come back to the country after the conclusion of the conference.
