Tinubu leaves for France on private visit

President Bola Tinubu has left Abuja for Paris, France, according to a statement released on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

He stated that the President’s trip to France is for a private purpose and mentioned that the visit is a stopover on the way to Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.

“In Addis Ababa, President Tinubu will join African leaders at the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council and the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the AU Heads of State, scheduled from February 12th to 16th, 2025,” Onanuga said.

“While in France, President Tinubu will meet with his French counterpart, President Emmanuel Macron.”

The presidential spokesman added that Tinubu is expected to arrive in Addis Ababa early next week for the African Union summit.
