President Bola Tinubu has given his approval to the appointment of twelve people to the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).
The nomination of the members to the Commission is subject to approval by the Nigerian Senate, according to a statement issued by President Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, on Friday.
He stated that, if confirmed, the new FCSC leadership is likely to begin work on November 30, 2023, following the end of the existing Federal Civil Service Commission Chairman’s and membership’s tenure on November 29, 2023.
Ngelale added that the President anticipates that the new FCSC leadership will competently facilitate the transformation, reorientation, and digitization of the Federal Bureaucracy to enable, and not stifle, growth and enhanced private sector participation in the development of the Nigerian economy, in full adherence to the Renewed Hope Agenda of his administration.
