Tinubu names six NPA, NIMASA Directors

President Bola Tinubu appointed six new Executive Directors to two agencies within the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy on Thursday.

The President nominated three new directors to the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), according to a statement by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale.

Tinubu named Vivian Edet Executive Director, Finance & Administration (NPA), Olalekan Badmus Executive Director, Marine & Operations (NPA), and Ibrahim Umar Executive Director, Engineering & Technical Services (NPA).

The President named Jibril Abba as Executive Director, Maritime Labour & Cabotage Services, Chudi Offodile as Executive Director, Finance & Administration, and Fatai Adeyemi as Executive Director, Operations to NIMASA.

The President believed that the new appointees would “execute their collective mandate to create the conditions required to significantly raise the contribution of the Marine & Blue Economy sector to the nation’s GDP”.
