Tinubu reacts to Super Falcons’ historic 10th WAFCON triumph

President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to the Super Falcons following their victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where they secured a record-breaking 10th continental championship.

The Nigerian team delivered a stunning comeback on Saturday night in Rabat, Morocco, overcoming the host nation 3–2 in front of an enthusiastic home crowd to claim the trophy.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised the Super Falcons’ performance, describing it as a reflection of the resilience and indomitable spirit that defines the Nigerian people.

Tinubu said, “The Super Falcons’ spectacular performance tonight in Rabat, coming from behind to beat a spirited Moroccan side playing in front of a passionate home crowd, exemplifies the determination that defines the Nigerian spirit.”
