Tinubu returns to Abuja, signs five MoUs with China

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja following his official visit to China and a brief stay in the United Kingdom.

President Tinubu departed Abuja for Beijing, China, on August 29 and commenced his official visit on September 2.

During his time in China, President Tinubu engaged in bilateral meetings with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, resulting in the signing of five memoranda of understanding between Nigeria and China.

He also participated in the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing. As ECOWAS chairman, he delivered a speech on global peace, emphasizing the importance of multilateralism and cooperation for international stability.

The visit concluded with a meeting with representatives of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization, China chapter, where he highlighted the necessity of the ongoing reforms in Nigeria and expressed his vision for improvements in infrastructure, power supply, and education.

President Tinubu then traveled to London, where he met with King Charles III to discuss climate change and related actions.
