According to the Northern Nigerian Movement for Asiwaju, Bola Tinubu’s election as president-elect was a resounding success.
It claimed that Simon Lalong, the director general of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Organization, was responsible for the rise of Tinubu.
It further revealed that Lalong, while losing his bid for the Senate, was able to stand strong in the face of overwhelming resistance.
The organisation made this announcement via a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by its National Coordinator, Dr. Mohammed Attahiru.
Attahiru expressed confidence and optimism that Lalong merited praise for his contributions to Tinubu’s administration.
In addition to congratulating Tinubu on his victory, Attahiru stated that Tinubu’s success in the February 25 presidential election demonstrated that the President-elect continues to be Nigerians’ top choice.
He claimed that Tinubu’s election as Nigeria’s next leader at this fortunate time portends the country’s quick transformation and the dawn of fresh optimism.
“As governor of Lagos State, we could all attest to the sterling performance of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu which saw a rapid transformation in all facets of the state.
“It is our sincere belief that when Tinubu assumes office as the next president, he will replicate the same transformation across the country for the benefit of all”, he said.
He also expressed optimism that Tinubu’s administration will also address the issues of insecurity, separatist agitations, banditry and kidnapping, among other issues facing the country.
