On Wednesday, the Asiwaju Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organization will formally introduce a 40-person think tank team that will develop Nigerians’ expectations should Bola Tinubu, a former national leader of the All Progressives Congress, win the general election in 2023.

The Asiwaju Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organization Director-General, Adebayo Shittu, confirmed the location of the inauguration ceremony in a phone conversation with The PUNCH. It will take place at the Casa de Lucy Hotel in Abuja.

Shittu also revealed that Oserheimen Osunbor, a former senator and governor of Edo State, will preside over the committee.

According to him, the ATPCO has finalized plans to swear in members of a think tank committee to catch Nigerians’ sentiments, brainstorm, and come up with a rebirth manifesto for his principle, while Nigerians excitedly await September when the electioneering campaign will begin.

He stated, “We as an organisation are planning to inaugurate a think-tank group that will help formulate expectations of Nigerians from Tinubu’s presidency.

“That team will be inaugurated on Wednesday, all things being equal. The team will interview Nigerians, brainstorm and come up with what could best be regarded as a rebirth manifesto for Tinubu.”

The former Minister of Communications was questioned about if the think tank was an afterthought in light of the issue surrounding the Muslim-Muslim ticket. She emphasized that the initiative had been in the works for a very long time.

“No, we already have the project on the ground with about 40 people as members. Former governor of Edo State and two-term senator, Oserheimen Osunbor, will chair the group. There are also two vice-chancellors, a retired General and other professionals in the committee,” he stated.

In response to the question of whether the committee also included APC members or independent individuals, an unconcerned Shittu stated that nothing barred people from joining the party if they so desired.

He said, “Anybody intelligent enough will understand the feelings of Nigerians after they interview people. It is not rocket science. We want them to capture these moods together for our principal.”
