The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar will hold a press conference today to discuss President Bola Tinubu’s academic records, which were recently released by the Chicago State University.
The press conference invitation reads, “This is to inform and invite you to the World Press Conference of Our Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, GCON, at the Yar’Adua Centre, Tomorrow, Thursday 5, October 2023, in the afternoon.”
“The exact time will be communicated shortly. Please endeavor to attend. Thank You.”
Recall that, Atiku obtained Tinubu’s educational records from the CSU through a court-ordered subpoena, contrary to the President’s refusal to disclose them.
The records, initially provided on October 3rd and supplemented with a sworn statement on Tuesday, revealed a discrepancy between Tinubu’s 1979 CSU certificate submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the samples of certificates issued by the University to students in that same year.
When questioned under oath, the CSU Registrar stated that he could not verify the authenticity of the certificate presented by Tinubu to INEC.
Atiku had not commented on the documents since they were released.
