Striker Richarlison has expressed his desire to remain at Tottenham Hotspur after rejecting a move to Saudi Arabia.
The 27-year-old Brazilian forward joined Spurs from Everton in 2022 for a club-record fee of £60m.
Richarlison has scored 15 goals in 66 appearances for Tottenham but was not a regular starter last season under manager Ange Postecoglou.
Despite interest from several Saudi Arabian clubs, including a bid from an unnamed team, Richarlison wants to stay in England to enhance his prospects with the Brazilian national team.
His contract with Tottenham runs until 2027.
“There has been an offer but my dream of playing for the Brazilian Selecao and in the Premier League speaks louder,” Richarlison told ESPN Brazil.
Spurs are looking to sign a striker this summer and have identified Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke as a target.
However, the Cherries are keen to retain Solanke, who scored 21 goals in 42 games for Bournemouth last season but was overlooked for England’s Euro 2024 squad.
Solanke has a £65m release clause in his Bournemouth contract, which still has three years remaining. Tottenham, however, value the striker at a lower price.
