On Tuesday, Japanese car manufacturers Toyota announced its global plan to introduce next-generation battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
The company has scheduled a full lineup of BEVs to be launched by 2026.
Toyota aims to have 1.7 million out of the total 3.5 million units produced in its BEV factory by 2030.
The company plans to achieve a vehicle cruising range of 1,000 kilometers by utilizing technologies like next-generation batteries and sonic technology.
Takero Kato, BEV Factory President at Toyota, said: “The next-generation battery EVs will adopt new batteries, through which we are determined to become a world leader in battery EV energy consumption.
“With the resources we earn, we will improve our product appeal to exceed customer expectations and secure earnings.”
