Al-Hilal, a Saudi Arabia football club, has put forward a remarkable £259 million bid to acquire French striker Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
PSG, the reigning French champions, have made the decision to sell Mbappe and, as a consequence, have excluded him from their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea. They want to include only players who are fully committed to the club.
The substantial offer from Al Hilal is not the sole proposal PSG has received. Other clubs have approached PSG with various offers, including cash-plus-player deals, in their attempt to secure the prolific forward.
Paris Saint-Germain is aware of at least five clubs expressing interest in signing Mbappe, and Tottenham is among those clubs.
Mbappe’s potential transfer has generated significant attention, and PSG anticipates further developments this week, with clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan, and Barcelona expressing their interest.
PSG is open to considering any offers for Mbappe. While they would prefer to sell him to the highest bidder, it’s unlikely that other clubs can match Al Hilal’s exceptional offer.
With just one year remaining on his contract, Mbappe has shown no interest in signing a new deal, as PSG suspects that he has already reached an agreement to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.
