[TRENDING VIDEO] “Black man is inferior to white man” — Chinese passenger allegedly tells Nigerian driver after police encounter
A Nigerian driver has recounted how a Chinese passenger he was sent to pick up at Asaba Airport allegedly made a shocking racial remark during their journey.
According to the driver, his boss had asked him to go to Asaba Airport and pick up the Chinese man.
He said that while they were returning from the airport, they got stuck in traffic after encountering a roadblock.
The driver said the Chinese man then instructed him to drive on the wrong side of the road to avoid the traffic.
He reportedly warned the passenger that police officers were stationed on that lane and could arrest him for driving against traffic.
However, the Chinese man allegedly insisted that he should proceed and not worry about the police.
The driver said they were eventually stopped by the officers. He then rolled down the window on the Chinese man’s side, only for the police to reportedly tell them to go.
According to the driver, it was after the police allowed them to continue that the Chinese man allegedly made the statement: “A black man is inferior to a white man.”
The account has since generated reactions online, with many Nigerians condemning the alleged remark and describing it as disrespectful and discriminatory.
