Social media has been buzzing following remarks made by veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko during a chat with actress Biola Adebayo, where he downplayed reports of widespread hunger and urged Nigerian youths to practice tolerance instead of reacting with anger.

Kosoko questioned what critics ate prior to President Bola Tinubu’s administration and pointed to initiatives like student loans as progress, sparking heavy backlash from citizens and social media users who recalled his past participation in protests against former President Goodluck Jonathan’s fuel subsidy removal.

In part he said, “tolerance is important. Nigerian youths should stop misbehaving because of bad governance. Stop showing anger because you are hungry.”
