Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Friday, paid a solidarity visit to the residence of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, in Ibadan following the abduction of his sister and her twin sons.

The visit comes after Adelabu’s younger sister and her 12-year-old twin boys were kidnapped on Wednesday.

A video circulating on social media on Friday showed Governor Makinde arriving at the residence and being received by Adelabu, who is also an All Progressives Congress 2027 governorship aspirant in the state.

According to PUNCH, Adelabu’s media aide, Femi Awogboro, said the victim, 43-year-old Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, was on a school run when she was abducted alongside her sons, Peter and Paul.

The family said she had recently relocated to Ibadan with her children while preparing to join her husband in the United States before the incident occurred.

The Oyo State Police Command confirmed the abduction, stating that investigations have commenced and tactical teams have been deployed to secure the victims’ release and apprehend those responsible.
