As the 10 October #EndSARS remembrance resurfaces, Nigerians are sharing tributes and reflections on the movement and its call to end police brutality.
Many are also remembering the 20 October 2020 shootings at Lekki Toll Gate, where security forces opened fire on protesters. A Lagos State judicial panel later described the Army’s shooting as “unwarranted, excessive, provocative and unjustifiable.”
The anniversary renews calls for justice, accountability and police reform.
