[TRENDING VIDEO] Reactions trail pupils chanting ‘Mummy, Daddy, vote for APC’ while receiving school bags in rain

Social media has been buzzing as internet users express outrage and share mixed opinions following a video showing nursery and primary school pupils standing in the rain at an event in Lagos, where they were made to chant partisan political slogans like “Mummy, daddy, vote for APC” in exchange for school bags.

The incident happened on Wednesday showing nursery and primary students in Ajeabor, Mushin, enduring rainy weather outdoors to receive bags from Mushin Local Government Chairman Hon.

Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe during his Back to School Initiative. The children were prompted to chant a partisan slogan, drawing widespread criticism for risking their health and involving them in politics.

Observers expressed sadness over the innocent kids’ discomfort and called for future events to prioritize child welfare without political messaging.
