A Nigerian businessman has expressed frustration over the country’s economic situation, saying he has been forced to shut down his business for the third time due to rising costs and dwindling profits.

The businessman, who spoke about the challenges of keeping a business afloat amid the economic hardship, blamed the difficult business environment for his repeated setbacks, despite making several attempts to earn a living.

Expressing his disappointment, he said, “I feel so heartbroken right now. This man is the worst president in history. This is the third time I’m closing my business because of how bad our economy is. There is no profit at the end of the day.”

According to him, he has opened several businesses in an effort to survive, but his attempts have repeatedly ended in failure as the cost of running a business continues to rise.

He also lamented the increasing price of building materials, particularly cement, which he said now sells for about ₦15,000 per bag.

The businessman compared the cost of cement with the income he generates from his farm, highlighting the difficulty of making enough money to cover expenses and sustain his livelihood.

His complaints reflect the concerns of business owners and ordinary Nigerians struggling with rising living costs, expensive materials and the challenge of maintaining profitable ventures in the current economic climate.

For the businessman, the repeated closure of his businesses has become a source of emotional and financial distress, as he continues to search for a sustainable way to make ends meet.
