Troops neutralise 120 Terrorists, rescue 43 hostages

The Defence Headquarters has announced the elimination of 120 terrorists, the arrest of 105 others, and the rescue of 43 hostages within the past week.

In a statement issued by Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, it was revealed that troops under Operation HADIN KAI carried out air interdictions, killing 64 terrorists and detaining 28 suspects.

In the North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA conducted successful offensives, neutralising 21 terrorists, arresting 24, and freeing five hostages.

In the North Central region, Operation SAFE HAVEN apprehended 14 suspects and rescued 11 hostages while recovering weapons, including three locally made pistols and ammunition.

Similarly, troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE in the North Central region arrested five violent extremists and rescued three hostages.

In the South South region, Operation DELTA SAFE intensified its crackdown on crude oil theft, recovering 631,709 litres of stolen crude oil and destroying 10 illegal refining ovens.

The military continues to demonstrate its commitment to restoring peace and stability across the country.
