Troops from the 151 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, engaged in counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations as part of Operation HADIN KAI in North East Nigeria, have eliminated eight terrorists in Bula Marwa, just ahead of Siraja village in Borno State.

In a dawn raid conducted in collaboration with the Hybrid/Civilian Joint Task Force, the soldiers launched an operation into the terrorists’ enclave early on Sunday, July 28, 2024, and successfully neutralized the terrorists in a fierce gun battle.

According to an army statement, the troops also recovered an Automatic Grenade Launcher, an MK rifle, and a bag containing a pair of desert camouflage and other terrorists’ uniforms from the terrorists.

Authorities report that the troops are continuing to search the area to uncover any additional terrorists who may be hiding nearby.

In a brief communiqué, the army assured Nigerians that the soldiers remain steadfast in their efforts to combat terrorism and insurgency, working in coordination with sister services and other security agencies to defend the nation and protect its citizens.
