Sector 2 (EBONYI) troops of the Joint Task Force South East Operation UDO KA, working alongside personnel from the NPF, DSS, and NSCDC, conducted a successful raid operation on Thursday. This operation was based on credible intelligence and targeted the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and their armed affiliate, the Eastern Security Network (ESN) Camp situated at Mgbalukwu in Inyimagu, Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Authorities have disclosed that during the operation, troops encountered the terrorists, resulting in the neutralization of one IPOB member, while others fled into the nearby forests. Recovered items include one AK-47 rifle, two AK-47 magazines, 54 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition, and three stolen Sienna buses.
In a statement, Major General HT Dada, the Force Commander of Joint Task Force South Operation UDO KA, expressed appreciation for the cooperation among the troops and other security agencies.
