Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, working alongside police officers and local vigilante groups, successfully rescued six abducted children in Gidan Maga village, Malumfashi LGA of Katsina State.
The incident happened on Monday, when armed men stormed the community in an attempt to kidnap residents. Security personnel confronted the attackers in a shootout, compelling them to abandon the children and escape into Naalma Forest.
The rescued victims were identified as Abdulhakim Rilwanu (12), Zinatu Mansir (10), Ado Sani (9), Sani Umar (10), Yusuf Umar (10), and Jamilu Nasiru (11)—all natives of the village.
The children were rescued unharmed and reunited with their families, while security forces continued a search operation in the forest to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
