At Polo Roundabout in Plateau State’s Jos North Local Government Area, a truck crashed with numerous other cars.

The incident occurred on Friday when a truck loaded with supplies lost control and collided with vehicles in its path.

Although no one was killed, eight people were gravely injured, and several vehicles were damaged.

According to reports, the truck, which was fully loaded with cement, ploughed into five other vehicles and a tricycle at the roundabout due to a brake failure and overspeeding before colliding with the University of Jos Veterinary Teaching Hospital, which houses the cafe.

Confirming the event on Saturday, Alphonsus Godwin, Plateau State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), said the truck lost its break precisely at the Polo roundabout, and the driver, who could no longer control the truck, smashed it into other vehicles in the neighbourhood.

He said the truck’s driver hit five other automobiles and commercial tricycles before crashing into an eatery at the University of Jos Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
