Two siblings were reportedly crushed to death by a truck in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area, Ondo State.
At 10:25 a.m. on Saturday, the victims, who were riding a motorbike, were crushed to death by a truck carrying sand.
According to eyewitnesses, the victims slid on their motorbike and collided with an incoming vehicle on the Okitipupa highway.
Ezekiel Son-Allah, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ondo State, verified the occurrence to Channels Television over the phone. He blamed the crash on the victims’ excessive speed.
Son-Allah urged vehicles and motorcyclists to avoid speeding and risky overtaking on the roadway.
The FRSC boss revealed that the victims’ bodies had been deposited at the General Hospital Mortuary in Ore.
He further stated that the crashed automobiles were turned over to police from the Ore Division.
