The Management of Tuns Farm on Saturday cleared the air concerning contoversies and allegations that Ca-Covid palliatives were stored in its warehouse in Osun State.
A statement released by Taofeek Badmus, General Manager of Tuns Farm stated that it is disheartening that the company’s business operations are being targeted, despited its philanthropic gestures to the people which has span over decades
The statement reads, “On behalf of our management we wish to use this medium to set the records straight and dispel the rumors that Ca-Covid palliatives are stored at any off our warehouses.
“Our Chairman Asiwaju Tunde Badmus was appointed as Vice chairman of the Osun state Covid relief committee whose role was to raise money and relief materials.
“In his personal capacity, he donated the sum of five million naira and some relief items.
“He is well known for his philanthropic gestures which has span over decades.
“While we wish to state that the Osun state Government through the Ministry of Health approached us for the use of our warehouses, two of the warehouses was again given to them free of charge to store mosquito nets which are being shared across the state to prevent the spread of malaria.
“No single kobo was paid for the usage which is over 4-5 months.
“It is therefore disheartening to have garnered intelligence reports saying our business operations are being targeted, businesses where over 700 people are direct labor and over 1,500 people are indirectly working at.
“While we commiserate with the people on the lack of social justice, we equally call for peace, orderliness and calm. As youths it is up to us not to allow this peaceful agitation be hijacked, we must restrain ourselves from making this matter worse.”
