Two House of Representatives member lead youths on solidarity march for Fubara

Two members of the House of Representatives, Awaji-Inombek Abiante and Boma Goodhead, on Friday, led a solidarity march to the Rivers State Government House to express support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

They were joined by several members of the Ijaw Youths Council.

Abiante represents the Andoni/Opobo/Nkiru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, while Goodhead represents the Asari-Toru/Akuku-Toru Federal Constituency.

The two federal lawmakers led the IYC in a march from the UTC Junction along Azikiwe Road to the Government House, concluding at the State House of Assembly on Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, where they addressed the youth.

This march occurred amid the ongoing political crisis in the state, sparked by the conflict between Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike. Commissioners and other members of Fubara’s cabinet have been resigning, citing personal reasons.
