Two suspects apprehended for sale of newborn twins

The Lagos State Police Command nabbed Ujunwa Una and Chinelo Igbechionwu on allegations of conspiracy and child trafficking.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, reported that the suspects were arrested by patrol officers from the Ojodu Division at Berger.

He stated that the infants involved have been placed in the care of a motherless baby’s home for proper medical evaluation and care.

While investigations are still ongoing to track down other accomplices, the arrested suspects were arraigned on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
