Uba Sani, the Kaduna state governor, has praised President Bola Tinubu for appointing Ibrahim Masari as his senior special assistant on political affairs.
Speaking as a special guest of honour at the Masari Foundation cash empowerment programme on Sunday in Malumfashi, Katsina state, the governor noted that Tinubu did not only appoint Masari as his aide but also holds him in very high esteem.
He added that the presidential aide’s influence is being felt nationwide.
“All over the country, Alhaji Ibrahim Masari’s is reputed to be a good man and the president has told us so himself,” Sani said.
“We are proud of his sterling qualities. Last year, he made cash donations to some of his constituents. This year, he is doing the same again.”
Sani emphasized that the cash donations to indigent people are intended to make them self-reliant and support their businesses, urging beneficiaries to be prudent.
He also commended Umar Dikko Radda, governor of Katsina state, for supporting the Ibrahim Masari Foundation.
Radda stated that Katsina is fortunate to have Masari in the corridors of power, noting that his presence has brought significant benefits to the state.
He explained that Katsina has gained from federal government appointments, contracts, and other dividends of democracy because of Masari’s influence in Abuja.
Radda assured that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will remain strong in the state, adding that the people will support Tinubu in 2027.
“We are now going round the local governments and felicitating with the people,” he said.
Nentawe Yilwatda, national chairman of the APC, described Masari as not just a national-level politician but also a grassroots leader.
He noted that the donations from Masari’s foundation will help alleviate the multidimensional poverty affecting the north.
The national chairman also thanked Radda for “building a united Katsina state,” adding that this will translate into more votes for the party in 2027.
The foundation revealed that it has distributed N300,000 each to 1,000 business owners in Malumfashi and Kafur local governments as part of its annual empowerment programme.
Also present at the event were Muhammadu Yahaya, governor of Gombe state; Mai Mala Buni, governor of Yobe state; and members of the APC national working committee.
