Students at the University of Benin (UNIBEN) are protesting a power outage that has lasted for more than three weeks.
Unable to endure the hardship any longer, the students initiated their protest on Wednesday morning by blocking the outbound lane of the Lagos-Benin Expressway.

Before reporters were chased off by the protesters, some students who spoke to Channels Television behind cameras, said the stress has been unbearable.
All vehicles are now having to continue their journeys only on the inbound route of the expressway.
The main gate of the school is on a total shutdown whilst the demonstration continues.
