Scores of people were seen gathering around a leaking fuel tanker in the City Gate area of Asaba, Delta State, where they attempted to collect the spilled fuel despite the obvious danger.
Videos circulating on X on Thursday captured residents carrying jerrycans, buckets and other containers as they rushed to the scene to scoop fuel from the tanker.
The leak reportedly began while the tanker was in the area, attracting a large crowd within minutes.
