A fire outbreak is currently being reported at SPAR, a popular shopping centre in Calabar, on Saturday morning.
The blaze, which reportedly began inside the shopping outlet, has produced thick smoke visible across parts of the city. Flames could also be seen from Barracks Road, roughly 100 yards from the scene.

Firefighters are said to have arrived at the location and are working to bring the inferno under control.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
