The Delta State Police Command has foiled a robbery attempt by arresting over 12 suspected armed robbers. The suspects were apprehended while preparing to carry out their criminal activities.
On Friday, police spokesperson SP Bright Edafe announced on X.com that officers caught over 12 suspected armed robbers while they were planning their next crime.
He wrote, “While they were preparing for another operation, we swooped in on them, arrested over twelve of the suspected armed robbers, and recovered an English pistol, one long double barrel gun, a locally made cut-to-size gun, and over seven cutlasses.”
The police shared a video where two of the arrested robbers confessed to breaking into homes by climbing fences.
The robbers admitted that some of their past crimes were successful because people left their doors unlocked at night.
To prevent this, the police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, urged everyone to always lock their doors and windows.
“Please always lock your door, especially at night!” He said.
