Success Izekor’s sister, Joypeace, is pursuing justice for her claimed murder by her husband, Kelvin Izekor.
Witnesses said that Kelvin struck his wife with a cutlass on the head, causing serious injuries and ultimately leading to her death. This led to Kelvin’s imprisonment.
The couple reportedly tied the knot in June 2024. According to several allegations, neighbours saw Kelvin repeatedly mistreat his wife.
Joypeace, who disclosed that her sister was pregnant at the time of her murder, used Facebook to demand justice.
She claimed that while Success’s body was kept in a room, Kelvin and his mother reported her missing.
Joypeace clarified that she attempted to get in touch with her sister but was unable.
“Nigerians, I beg you. I need justice for my junior sister. Her husband killed her while she was pregnant and locked her inside a room. He and his mother claimed that my sister was missing. I kept trying the number, it did not go,” she said.
“I went to the house, I did not know my sister’s dead body was inside. I went to her shop in the market, she did not come. Yesterday night, my daughter asked if I had heard from her aunt, I said no. That I had also tried calling but her number was not going.
“She was now like is what she is hearing true? I asked what she meant and she said she heard that my sister was dead. I questioned her, asking who told her that. She said many people called her from the market that Osas has died, that Kelvin has killed her inside the house.
“I collected the number from her while still trying my sister’s number but it was not still going through. That was when people started calling me that my sister was dead.”
