VIDEO: “We will not take this money,” Pastor Paul Enenche rejects N30m donation from Kebbi Govt
The senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche has declined a ₦30 million donation from Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, instead recommending that the money be used to support orphanages or other charitable initiatives.
The incident took place during a recent large-scale evangelical crusade organized by the church in Kebbi State.
At the event, a representative of the governor addressed the gathering and announced the ₦30 million cash gift as a token of appreciation from Governor Idris for Pastor Enenche’s visit and spiritual impact.
The governor, represented by the Kebbi State Commissioner for Social Duties, Zayyanu Umar Aliero, noted that the funds were available in cash and ready to be handed over to the church.
To the surprise of many, Pastor Enenche declined the donation on stage. While expressing gratitude for the kind gesture, he made it clear that the church would not accept the money.
“We sincerely appreciate the gesture and the governor’s generous heart.
“But we will not take this money. Please channel it instead to orphanages or any other charitable institution of your choice,” Enenche said.
In response, the governor’s representative thanked Pastor Enenche for his humility and dedication to the gospel, respectfully agreeing to his request.
The moment has since drawn widespread admiration on social media, with many applauding Enenche’s integrity and his decision to reject government funds during a religious gathering.
