The West African Examinations Council has published the timetable for the 2026 Common-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates, First Series.

The schedule, shared on WAEC’s official X page on Tuesday, details the subjects to be examined, along with their respective dates and times, to help private candidates organise their preparation effectively.

The post read, “Here’s the timetable for the CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026–First series waecinternational.org/timetable/We wish you success and a wonderful experience.”

WAEC advised the private candidates to carefully review the timetable and ensure they are fully aware of their examination dates and requirements.

Candidates are also encouraged to adhere strictly to the examination guidelines provided by WAEC to avoid any avoidable issues.

The release of the timetable marks an important milestone in the lead-up to the 2026 examination, as candidates and stakeholders begin final preparations for the upcoming assessment.

The CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates – First Series will begin on January 28 and will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT).

The computer-based examination is part of WAEC’s ongoing efforts to modernise the examination process and improve efficiency in test administration.
