In preparation for the 64th Independence Day celebration, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has strategically deployed personnel and equipment across Abuja.
According to a statement issued by FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, on Monday, the deployment aims to ensure a smooth and secure Independence Day celebration for residents.
The deployment includes Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) teams, anti-riot equipment, and visibility policing, among other security measures.
Additionally, traffic diversions will be enforced in areas expected to attract large crowds, such as the Central Area and Eagle Square.
