President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, stated that Nigeria will continue to work for justice, fairness, and inclusion in global affairs in order to achieve peace and progress in Africa and other parts of the world.

This was revealed in a statement signed by Femi Adesina, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

In a side discussion with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh at the present African Union conference, President Buhari stated that Nigeria remains committed to democracy, development, and good governance, particularly in ensuring the rights of persons and institutions.

As a country, we are doing our best, and we will continue doing our best to ensure justice and fairness,” he said.

Nigeria will remain “constant” in working for peace and growth while preserving the principles of justice, the President promised the Palestinian leader.

The Palestinian leader emphasized in his remarks that the situation in the Middle East, particularly relations with Israel, had deteriorated over time, and that the world needed to know the reality.

President Buhari was congratulated by Shtayyeh for his leadership role on the continent.

“Your Excellency, we thank you for your wisdom. We need it more now. Please continue to stay well and healthy, because we need your wisdom,” he said.
