The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. (NNPC Ltd.) has denied reports alleging that it was selling employment slots to the public.
In a statement released on Saturday, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd., Olufemi Soneye, urged the public, particularly jobseekers, to disregard the rumors alleging that the company was selling employment slots.
Soneye clarified that there is no truth to the insinuations and described them as “antics of fraudsters” attempting to exploit unsuspecting applicants.
He emphasized that NNPC Ltd., as a responsible corporate entity, conducts its recruitment through a straightforward process that does not involve the sale of slots or any form of inducement.
The company also warned that anyone who pays money for a job at NNPC Ltd. does so at their own risk.
