President Bola Tinubu expresses dedication to reshaping Nigeria’s narrative for the betterment of all its citizens.

He conveyed this commitment during a press briefing at the conclusion of the Umrah rituals on Sunday in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

Tinubu emphasized that his leadership is resolute in transforming the narrative through a range of reforms, programs, and policies aimed at ultimately benefiting the citizens.

‘’The prospects of the country are yet to blossom to the level that we require. It needs hard work and consistent prayers from every one of us. We are committed to using our strength to bring out this potential for the benefit of all Nigerians.”

‘’That’s why we are here, and may Allah accept all our prayers, individually and collectively, for the good of the nation and its people. There is a need for me to thank God for what He has done for me.”

‘’For His guidance, His blessings, and His answers to my prayers and the country’s prayers, and the good of all humanity. I have to thank God at every opportunity,’’ he said.

Reports state that Muslims perform the Umrah, a lesser Hajj ritual, at various times throughout the year, while the Hajj is specifically observed during the month of Hajj in the Islamic calendar.

During his stay in Makkah, Tinubu is being hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is accompanied by a special cleric from the Kings’ Palace for the circumambulation of the Kaaba.

Sheikh Dakilullah Al-Makky, the cleric, along with the imam of the State House Mosque, Sheik Abdulwahab Suleiman, led prayers at the conclusion of the over-two-hour ritual.

The rituals involve circumambulating the Kaaba seven times and traversing between Safa and Marwa seven times.

The governors of Bauchi, Niger, and Katsina states, along with the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, the NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer, and other high-ranking government officials, participated in the ritual alongside the president.

Tinubu is currently in Saudi Arabia for the Saudi-Africa summit, which is attended by leaders from African nations and representatives from the business communities of both countries.
