A former BBNaija Season 10 housemate, Mide, has addressed the “mean girls” tag she and fellow contestant Dede carried during their stay in the house.
The entrepreneur, whose real name is Ayomide Iwasokun, was evicted from the reality show last Sunday alongside Zita and Rooboy.
Speaking in a post-eviction interview, Mide explained that much of the perception stemmed from a misunderstanding of her natural facial expressions. She admitted that her demeanor sometimes gave off the wrong impression, particularly under the stressful conditions of the show.
“I feel like it started from my facial expression when everyone was coming in. I feel like people are not understanding the process to this and we were so tired. Me personally, I was so tired and sometimes I just have a resting b**h face, I just look like that and give that off sometimes,”* she said.
Mide acknowledged that her emotions could sometimes trigger reactions but denied having any malicious intent. She also defended her close friend, Dede.
“But genuinely, I do not have a mean bone in my body. Like I can react when I am angry but that is where it ends, I do not have time to just be mean. Dede as well is not a mean person at all,” she added.
So far, 19 of the original 29 housemates have been evicted from the show.
Imisi, Koyin, Kola, Dede, Kaybobo, Sultana, Mandan, Jason Jae, Isabella, and Faith have secured their places in the finale.
The last 10 contestants will compete for the record-breaking ₦150 million grand prize — the biggest in the history of the show since it launched in 2006.
The season finale is set for October 5.
