The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has revoked land allocations belonging to former President Muhammadu Buhari, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, among others.

A total of 759 prominent individuals and organizations in Maitama II, Abuja, were affected by the revocation due to non-payment of Certificates of Occupancy fees.

This development was disclosed in a publication by the FCT Administration and shared with Channels Television by Lere Olayinka, the Special Adviser to the FCT Minister.

In a separate notice, the minister also warned that lands belonging to Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Kingsley Chinda; former Senate Presidents Iyorchia Ayu and Ameh Ebute; Senate Chief Whip Tahir Monguno; and 610 others may face revocation if outstanding fees are not settled within two weeks.

This action follows months of appeals by the FCT Administration urging residents, especially those in highbrow areas, to pay their dues or risk losing their land allocations.
