The Nasarawa State Police Command has detained Alice Mulak for fatally stabbing her partner in the state’s Karu Local Government Area.
This information was disclosed in a statement that DSP Ramhan Nansel, the State Police Public Relations Officer, provided to our correspondent in Lafia on Friday.
According to the statement, Alice Mulak “F” of Ungwan Gwari, Karu LGA was detained by police officers assigned to Mararaba “A” Division in Nasarawa State under the direction of CSP Musa Babayola for fatally stabbing her partner.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident happened behind City Rock Hotel, Mararaba at about 0330hrs when the deceased and his girlfriend engaged themselves in fisticuffs as a result of a misunderstanding.
“Hence, the suspect was arrested and the knife used in perpetrating the offence was consequently recovered based on the directives of the Commissioner of Police, CP Adesina Soyemi.”
Nansel continued by saying that the suspect has been given to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Lafia for additional research and potential prosecution.
