Your concerns are genuine, Zamfara Govt tells protesters

The Zamfara State Government has recognized the legitimacy of the issues raised by protesters concerning the removal of fuel subsidies, hunger, and insecurity affecting the state.

While addressing the protesters at the Government House in Gusau, Nasiru Zurmi, the state Commissioner for Project Implementation, expressed solidarity with the residents’ grievances and urged the Federal Government to develop solutions to alleviate the citizens’ suffering.

Zurmi called on the Federal Government to consider the widespread public outcry and the negative economic impacts of the subsidy removal.

He also appealed to the protesters to remain peaceful and refrain from vandalizing properties.
