The Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC) has scheduled the Local Government Election for November 16, 2024.
This announcement was made by the newly appointed Chairman of the Commission, Bala Aliyu Gusau, who was sworn in earlier today by the state’s Chief Judge, Justice Kulu Aliyu, represented by Mukhtar Yusha’u of the Zamfara State High Court, during a ceremony at the Government House council chamber in Gusau.
Addressing journalists, Gusau revealed that the sale and submission of expression of interest forms will take place from October 25 to November 1, 2024.
He emphasized that the commission is acting in accordance with Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC) law number four and will provide updates on any further developments regarding the local council elections.
