The All Progressives Congress appears to be working to resolve the internal party conflict brought on by the recently disclosed zoning plan for the 10th National Assembly leadership.
The National Working Committee of the party is currently meeting with Senators Godswill Akpabio and Jibrin Barau as part of efforts to end the lingering issue.
More than 40 senators, including Senator Godswill Akpabio and Senator Jibrin Barau, are present at the meeting, which is being held at Muhammadu Buhari House and being presided over by Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
Recall that the APC NWC recently revealed the consensus zoning plans for the 10th NASS following consultation with President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party stakeholders.
However, some irate party members have already voiced their unhappiness over how the APC leadership handled the situation, threatening to disrupt the zoning arrangement.
In response to this development, the NWC met with irate members of both houses last week and pledged to implement the required changes.
